Congratulations on your wedsite! We are honored to be a part of your special day. Thank you for choosing wedsite.com to share your wedding plans and experiences with your friends and family.
The Full Moon Party is an all-night beach party that originated in Haad Rin on the island of Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand on the night of, before or after every full moon.
We will be attending this event as a pre wedding celebration and will be spending 3 nights in Koh Pha Ngan before heading to Koh Samui for anyone wishing to join us.
Recommended only for the young or young at heart ;)
We will be looking at organising something for this day.
We would recommend flying to Bangkok from the UK. If you don't mind stopping you can get return flights from as little as £300 depending on when you book. Direct isn't too bad either, it was averaging at £450 last year. Prices do tend to get cheaper the closer you get to the dates if last years prices are anything to go by. But in general it isn't expensive to fly to Thailand whenever you book.
Hotels on the islands however to book up fast.
You have 4 main choices for getting from Bangkok to Koh Samui:
Here are a list of hotels close to the wedding venue.
This is the hotel Levent and I will be staying in during the wedding. Roughly £180+ pn
Roughly £100 pn
Roughly £60 pn
Roughly £40 pn
Roughly £30 pn
Family and Friends,
For those of you attending the wedding, your presence is gift enough for us and we really do not require anything.
There are many people that cannot attend the wedding and some of those people insisted i create one of these so that they can still be a part of it in some way- so this is for you.
If you really want to offer a gift then i have set up a registry on Honeyfund allowing you to pay towards part of our honeymoon.
Anything that is given is truly apreciated and we thank you.
The day will start at 4.30pm and finish at midnight.
I plan to put on a coach if you decide not to stay in the nearby vacinity, please let me know if you will require this service.
This part is quite cute...
Now for those of you that know us well, you will understand that it came as little suprise that i suspected what was happening when Levent all week was telling me that i had to be up early on Saturday as he had something planned! (Levent never plans anything.. ever!)
I asked Levent what i needed to wear and in a true man reponse, he said, "anything". Which resulted in a brief heated discussion, where he ended up telling me "smart but comfortable as we will be doing some walking".
So after being dragged through my third mud filled field in December, i realised that perhaps the suede knee highs were not the best choice! :D
Anyway by this point i had totally written off the idea that this was a proposal and thought instead that Levent genuinly had a day planned.
So we walked through the beautiful parks at Windsor and up to the giant copper horse statue and looked out over the amazing views of the park and castle.
So anyway.. Levent gives a guy a camera and asks him to take our photo (and you know me... i have "a side" ) Levent was faffing around clearly trying to position me to propose, and i was getting annoyed at being positoned on the wrong side and to make it more frustrating a huge crowd of tourists were heading our way up the hill and we were running out of time for a good shot. So when Levent got down on one knee, it actually took me by complete surprise, i was in total shock. The ring was stunning! I had absolutely no idea what Levent was saying, but said yes anyway, and to this day even he cannot remember what he said, so we both still have no idea. (I'm sure it was something cool and epic of course).
You see we both hate being centre of attention and get really nervous and so when this huge crowd of tourists started to clap and cheer, we were both super embarrassed and scuttled off.
Hence the small wedding, far away!
If i could set the scene for you, it was stunning, the views from that hill are breath-taking, the sun was setting and deer were roaming the park, honestly it was just perfect.
We then went for a lovely meal in Windsor.
Boy did good! :)
Wow, where to start?
It will be our 14th year together in 2018, and to summarise that time is going to be tough, so i'll keep it brief.
I would love to tell you that when we first met it was love at first sight and that the setting was romantic and cute and all that... but in truth we met on a club 18-30's holiday in Faliraki..... enough said :)
Following our very interesting commuter style first year and half we realised that we were actually pretty good together, and so the fairest of us packed up and moved down South (much to Michele and Steve's dismay).
10 years on we finally purchased our first home together (and out of London i might add). It took a while but we got there in the end and its such a lovely little pad; if you havn't visited yet then you absolutely must soon!
The last 14 years have had some of the most fantastic ups, but also some of the worst kinds of downs, and it's our love for each other, coupled with the funniest and unlikeliest of friendships that has survived and is what makes this relationship so very strong and unique. We adore being together.
Living life with your best friend is what it's all about and can only hope and wish that our family and friends are lucky enough to have what we have together.
